Episode Summary
In this episode of Beyond the Post, Bodhi gives a quick preview of what’s coming in Season 5. This season takes a more structured approach, with episodes designed to build on one another like a class, taking creators from identifying the value in their experience to making bigger transitions as their projects grow. Bodhi and Rob will dig into finding authority, creating more time for creative work, and navigating the practical realities of moving toward part-time or full-time content creation, including money, health insurance, retirement, and keeping work, family, and life from getting steamrolled along the way. Season 5 begins October 7.

[00:00:06] Hey everybody, welcome back to Beyond the Post. My name is Bodie and I am one of your hosts. Robb's not here right now. And that's okay because this is just a quick promo for Season 5. Robb is back for Season 5, so don't worry about that. But it's just easier if I just record this real quick.
[00:00:26] So Season 5 we decided to do things a little bit different. And one of those things is we decided to treat Season 5 and future seasons more like a class. So we wrote a lesson plan, we wrote scripts, and we really put a lot of thought and intent into each episode so that Episode 1 flows into 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 and so on.
[00:00:49] So the goal with this season was to actually teach you something with a beginning, a middle, and an end. And I think we've done a pretty good job accomplishing that. So one of the cool things though that we also did was we are not only releasing the behind-the-scenes stuff on the Patreon, which is beyondthepost.fm forward slash Patreon, so if you want to sign up.
[00:01:18] But we also released the whole recording. So if you want to see a breakdown of how we recorded each episode and the discussions that we have in between, you can do that as well. So, but yeah, that's not what we're here to talk about. We're here to talk about Season 5. And this season we're focusing in on two big ideas. The first, we're talking about finding your authority. So what do you know? What can you offer? How can you turn that experience into something that other people find value in?
[00:01:47] So that's the first thing. The second idea we focus on is what to do when your project starts to grow and it's time to start making a transition. And that transition could honestly be spending more time as a part-time creator or transitioning into a full-time creator. Rob and I are going to get into money, health insurance, retirement, and how to make a change without throwing everything you've already worked for away.
[00:02:14] And we certainly don't want you to do that. The next thing we're going to talk about is time management. How do you find an extra 5 to 10 hours a week to build something when you already have a job, a family, and a life? And we're also going to talk about not ignoring your job, your family, and your life when it comes to content creation. And with that, the first episode of Season 5 will come out on October 7th. So make sure you're subscribed.
[00:02:42] Thank you everybody so much, and I will chat with you later.
