[00:00:02] Repeat after me.
[00:00:03] Working with others is easier than ever.
[00:00:07] I strive for perfect collaboration.
[00:00:09] Our teamwork keeps getting better.
[00:00:12] Yeah, affirmations are great, but Monday.com
[00:00:14] can really get you the teamwork you desire.
[00:00:16] Work together easily in share files, updates, data,
[00:00:20] and just about anything you want all in one platform.
[00:00:23] Affirm, yes, to start.
[00:00:25] Or tap the banner to go to Monday.com. reasonable timeframe. I did record from my car and I don't think the audio quality is bad, but you're definitely going to know that there's a difference like you're you're you're it's noticeable for sure. So I do a little bit is Bodhi and I am your host and that honestly sounded really good right there. I will never be able to sound that good again.
[00:03:02] I should just close up shop.
[00:03:05] The podcast is over as of today.
[00:03:08] Nailed it. Sheridan got while they were at CES. And I should tell you, before you listen to this entire podcast, if you want to, you can go to podfeed.com, click on blogs, and you can see all of the content that Steven Allison produced while they're at CES. And let me tell you, it is a lot. They had 34 different interviews while they were there.
[00:04:22] And as you can imagine, that's gonna take a while
[00:04:24] for them to edit it and get everything posted. I apologize to no one from New Jersey. Now that I said that, I realized that there's at least one patron supporter who listens to this show, obviously you'd be a patron supporter, who actually lives in New Jersey. I'm still not going to apologize, but I will acknowledge that that was probably foolish. Please don't stop supporting the show. Let's move on to the news.
[00:05:40] Lucid Motors released their Q4 2023
[00:05:43] and end of year 2023 to $200,000. You're probably not gonna sell
[00:07:01] a lot of those vehicles just in general.
[00:07:04] So yeah, good job, Lucid.
[00:07:07] Let's go ahead and move on to our Tesla news. changes here except for the number that the consumer sees when before they purchase the car. Like once you own one of these cars, it doesn't matter if it's a bolt, a Tesla or whatever, you know what that car will do in the area that you live in. If you live in a colder climate, you're going to find out what your range looks like, you know, in the winter time.
[00:08:20] In the summertime, I can tell you I got my car at the end of May.
[00:09:28] 272 miles for the rear wheel drive version of this car, which will start at $38,990. For the long range, we're looking at 341 miles and will cost $45,990.
[00:09:38] There was no information on the performance model.
[00:09:42] Why wait to see if you'll get if you knew this, but anyone can get the same premium wireless for $15 a month plan that I've been enjoying. It's not just for celebrities, so do like I did, and have one of your assistance assistants switch you to Mint Mobile today. I'm told it's super easy to do at mintmobile.com slash switch.
[00:11:03] Up from payment of $45 for three month plan,
[00:11:05] equivalent to $15 per month required. seen before is an electric motor for a powerboat. So what we're in the Kahe booth here with Christian Aulee to talk about the first multi-function electric outboard motor. And that's a crazy concept. We're going to describe this, but tell us first, what are you building here? First of all, we wanted something pure and electric.
[00:12:24] It was the first idea.
[00:12:26] We want to participate to the recyclability. Oh gotcha. And we spoke about multi gonna actually turn it on for the video audience here. Yeah. Let's turn it on. Oh wow, that's pretty quiet. Yeah, that's quiet. No order. That's right. No gas. That's awesome. Yeah, it's cool. All right, it's getting heavy Christian.
[00:15:01] I got to set this down. Turn it off there. Okay, make it stop. Make it stop. Oh, there we go.
[00:16:08] $1,500. That's actually not bad for this. This is really cool. I mean you could get a couple of those on a power boat, right? Could you do two of these two of the electric boaters? Two? Yeah, for sure. Add up two. Go faster.
[00:16:15] Go faster and longer. All right, what is the website to find the Kahe? Kahe.com.
[00:16:22] Kahe.com. Actually, you said another name last time. Kahe.notik.com. foresee myself using this if I lived in an area that had actual water and who knows if California might fall into the ocean someday and I might fingers crossed. But the thing that concerns me the most is that if I was to use this I would have it attached to my boat or my kayak. I would use it to get to where I'm going
[00:17:40] and then I would disconnect it and I'd make it into my little sea scooter and I this much plus a little buffer to get back. You have X amount of time to use this as your C-scooter. That's the only way it's gonna work for me. Otherwise, I might be lost at C. Next up, Allison is gonna talk to the CEO and founder of IceBex, a mobile charger.
[00:19:02] I'm here again on behalf of the Killwap podcast
[00:19:04] as well as the NoCillaCast podcast.
[00:19:06] We are in the AceBex booth charge a regular Tesla in like 40-50 minutes. That one is like take 30-40 minutes. So it says DC 20 kilowatts so that would be about 70 mile range in an hour. Yeah, yeah. Okay and then the bigger one to the other side would be what? The 50 kilowatt.
[00:20:20] 50 kilowatt. Okay all right so is the idea that maybe a triple A has one of these on their truck
[00:20:26] and they bring it to me or is that going to be in the United States? Yes, yes. Then you get that UL certified. Great, great. Yeah, that would be important. We would like that UL certification. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a great idea. Anything else you want to tell us about, about aspects? Yeah, I think, I-SPEX is a company started from combining energy
[00:21:42] storage with charging functions. So we come from the energy storage business and idea. Allison mentioned that the chargers themselves were almost as tall as her and the founder and CEO. I'm blanking on his name at the moment. And they are. They're tall. They're big. They're on casters. They're on wheels so they can be moved around from place to place to place.
[00:23:00] But they're not small.
[00:23:01] They're pretty big. need this specific problem solved. I can see putting in a tow truck and somebody is low on a charge and we're going to hear about Chris Ashley having this problem on Friday when he was doing when he was telling a trailer from North Carolina back to of dollars for that. I totally get that part of it. It seems to me like you're going to be able to charge one car off of this. And then you're going to need to take it back somewhere and recharge it like I like
[00:25:41] how many of these things do you actually need and like, we're going to try and break into this market. And, you know, they're not, they're not knocking it out of the park right now. But they're, they're making inroads. It's a slow process. So I'm
[00:27:01] hoping Vin fast ends up being like a Honda front coming to the United States in the first quarter of 2024, so just around the corner. This also comes in an eco and a plus version, and the eco starts at 79, 800, is approximately, that's when they're looking for, and the plus comes in at 85,000.
[00:28:21] The range is above 300 miles,
[00:28:24] so that's a good healthy range.
[00:28:25] Again, it's a four-seater vehicle
[00:29:41] that's targeted for 2025. They're looking to bring this in at around $20,000 US if they can hit that Toyota Tacoma and there are so many people I work with a lot of them who love their Toyota Tacomas. I won't say anything negative about Toyota right here because again I don't hate the brand I just not fond of the people who own passenger, I've never driven in Bangkok, but I've been a passenger plenty of times. And it can be terrifying. There's lots of stuff going on, and everybody else seems to know what they're doing. I wouldn't. I could
[00:32:20] imagine doing this in a truck. I know to be interviewed, but they were very happy to feed them information about the cars. And I'm sure this person that Allison was talking to was also delightful. I have nothing bad to say about the people working in the booth when I met them. And I don't think Allison does based on the conversations that I've had with her. But it's just really funny. But I will say that when I was interviewing interviewing the VINFAST news. VINFAST is going to start opening dealerships. They have one in North Carolina that's already opened. And then there's gonna be one in New York. There's two planned for Texas, Fort Worth and Grapevine, and one for Wichita, Kansas. And then of course they have their factory that they're building in North Carolina.
[00:36:21] So VINFAST is definitely making inroads are editing this stuff. They're like, hey, do you want this? Do you want this? Which is so nice. And I'm taking all of it. I'm like, yes, I'll take everything you got. So we should be hearing some more from Alison and Steve in maybe not next episode, but maybe the next couple of weeks. I don't wanna rush anybody
[00:37:40] because I do know that it takes a lot of work to edit
[00:37:43] and get that stuff out.
[00:37:45] And I'm not doing any of it. Sunday and Monday, which was very long and very draining. But I was like, I don't have to worry about creating content for the next day, so I can actually just hang out with my kids when I was done with class. I should have been studying. I don't know if I passed my tests or not. We'll find out in the coming weeks. But I do appreciate that I was able to have this extra time to catch up.
[00:39:05] So thank you, thank you, thank you again.
