[00:01:41] Hello everyone and welcome to Kilawa to podcast about electric vehicles autonomous driving,
[00:01:46] renewable energy, and much more welcome to the show.
[00:01:51] Now I'm going to let you in on a little bit of inside baseball. Normally when I do this show,
[00:01:56] it takes me about an hour to record a 20 minute episode. However today I have, I don't have
[00:02:03] that much time. I have about 45 minutes to record. So I'm going to try to get this done
[00:02:08] and as few takes as possible so there might be some mistakes that I let slip by.
[00:02:14] Hopefully they're not too bad and when it happens I'll make sure to make fun of myself.
[00:02:19] So it's at least entertaining for everybody. Start off with our EV news. Goldman Sacks predicts
[00:02:25] a 40% EV battery price drop by 2025. This is due to lower costs on battery materials
[00:02:34] and innovations. So things like battery design, energy density increases or improvements
[00:02:43] simplifying and improving efficiencies in battery cell production as well as battery pack
[00:02:49] manufacturing all that stuff on the horizon we have solid state batteries that could help
[00:02:56] potentially lower cost. All of this may help automakers reach price parity with ice cars in 2024
[00:03:06] and when I say price parity, I mean their cost. Who knows if they'll, if they will pass those
[00:03:15] costs onto us because we have the automakers themselves who want to make money but then we have
[00:03:21] dealers who know that people in the United States are getting a $7,500 federal tax credit and
[00:03:29] increasing the price of the EVs by $7,500. So who knows if you or I will be able to take advantage of
[00:03:38] that but it is possible according to Goldman Sacks that automakers will be able to take advantage of
[00:03:46] that and obviously dealers take advantage of everything not all dealers just some dealers.
[00:03:52] There's also other outside factors and we mentioned one of them which is the EV tax credits to help
[00:03:57] lower prices again dealers and then there's European countries and their EV mandates that's also
[00:04:06] helping drive those costs down. We'll see if this actually happens I'm not holding my breath but
[00:04:13] there is some good news already in 2024. New EV prices have decreased on average of $2,000
[00:04:22] in February according to inside EVs. Battery cell company CATL and EV maker NEO are partnering
[00:04:31] up to extend the lifespan of EV batteries. I did not know this did you know that 20 million EV
[00:04:41] battery packs will reach end of warranty not end of life but end of warranty between 2025 and 2032
[00:04:48] which leads me to NEO and CATL's goals which is to create a battery that can be warrantied
[00:04:56] and will last at least 15 years. So currently battery warranties are right around 8 years their
[00:05:03] plan is to pretty much double that not quite double this will help reduce the overall cost of EV
[00:05:10] ownership because over time if you don't replace your battery that'll save a bunch of money
[00:05:14] and then as it happens NEO is big into swappable battery packs so if you're one of those lucky folks
[00:05:20] who owns a NEO and you have an issue with your battery pack it's pretty easy for NEO to just
[00:05:25] drop that old battery pack out and put a new battery pack in. So that's pretty cool love to see
[00:05:31] companies working on stuff like this whether that we'll see that here in the US who knows but
[00:05:36] it's still cool that it's happening out there. I'm sure somebody will do it here in the US.
[00:05:42] Let's talk about Rivion. Rivion owners can now access the Tesla Supercharger
[00:05:48] network which is about 15,000 stalls across North America. Obviously in order to do this you're going
[00:05:56] to need a NACS adapter to CCS-1 adapter and Rivion customers are going to receive this free of charge
[00:06:07] later this month or next month. This month's almost over so to imagine it's next month. When it
[00:06:12] comes to paying it's pretty seamless. Rivion owners will see the price per kilowatt listed on their
[00:06:20] infotainment screen and when they charge they're going to be built through the Rivion app so
[00:06:27] it's pretty close to as plug-and-play or plug-and-charge as you can get. If you don't want to pay Tesla's
[00:06:35] higher kilowatt hour rates for charging you can become a member of the Supercharger Network
[00:06:42] for $12.99 a month and that will give you the same kilowatt hour rates that Tesla owners enjoy.
[00:06:52] Doesn't seem like this is a good deal if you rarely charge however if you live in an apartment or
[00:06:58] you don't have a charger at home this could save you a lot of money. Moving on let's talk about
[00:07:06] Fisker. I don't have a lot of good news for Fisker so let's start with the good news. The first bit
[00:07:14] of good news is Fisker has received a $150 million investment and in the article it said that this
[00:07:22] was actually not an investment it was a financial commitment from an existing investor so I'm sure
[00:07:29] that this is guaranteed if they said we're going to give you the $150 million I'm sure they're
[00:07:36] going to give it to them however it was listed in the article as a financial commitment. So that's
[00:07:44] the first bit of good news a little bit of a lifeline for Fisker and I don't remember if we
[00:07:48] talked about this last time we covered news but Fisker is about ready to go broke I'm pretty
[00:07:53] sure we've already talked about this they are in serious trouble so here's the second bit of good
[00:08:00] news. The Fisker Ocean 1 has been awarded the IF Design Award 2024 for the best EV in the SUV
[00:08:12] category. Apparently this award is a very prestigious part from the fact that I have a hard time
[00:08:19] pronouncing the title of the award it's very prestigious it's judged by 132 independent design
[00:08:26] experts and they gave it I mean they gave it an award they gave it a prestigious award. The IF
[00:08:34] Award 2024 for best EV in the SUV category that's how it was written in the article doesn't roll
[00:08:41] off the tongue I'm going to be honest now for the not so good news when it comes to Fisker consumer
[00:08:48] reports bought and reviewed a Fisker Ocean if you don't know anything about consumer reports
[00:08:53] they're here in the US and they their their whole job is to review things and they don't
[00:09:00] they buy everything that they review they don't take anything for free they don't get a review
[00:09:06] you know anything like that they actually purchase it so they called it consumer reports called
[00:09:12] it unfinished and referred to it as lost at sea now some of the issues that they had with it are
[00:09:19] just repeating some of Marquez Brown these points and concerns so I'm not going to go through that
[00:09:23] again because we talked about that I'm pretty sure on our last news episode but yeah this isn't great
[00:09:30] for Fisker like the last couple weeks I'm sure for the Fisker team has been very top c-turvy when
[00:09:39] it comes to emotions lots of not quite highs but lots of very low lows like they there's just a lot
[00:09:46] going on with that company and I really genuinely do hope they figured out I have no hate for Fisker
[00:09:52] and I want to see them succeed because I do think they're they're building a good car they just need
[00:09:57] to catch up on some other things let's talk about some of that stuff as I mentioned Fisker is
[00:10:01] very close to bankruptcy they're hanging on by a thread they got this $150 million
[00:10:06] commitment as it stands right now Fisker has paused production for the next six weeks they currently
[00:10:14] have 4,700 cars in inventory so that's 4,700 cars just sitting in a parking lot somewhere waiting to
[00:10:24] be delivered completely built just in 2024 Fisker has built 1,000 Fisker oceans so how many have
[00:10:33] they delivered well they've delivered around 1300 in total in 2024 and I don't know if that's because
[00:10:40] of their delivery network is it's not so great it's taken them a very long time to get these cars out
[00:10:46] or if people are canceling orders because they see what's going on with the company and they're like
[00:10:50] oh hold on just a second I don't want to spend this much money on a vehicle and then the company
[00:10:55] go away I don't think the company's going away by the way but I do understand that concern
[00:11:02] so I totally get it you may be asking yourself at this point what's next for Fisker and I'm going to
[00:11:08] tell you my I don't know I have no idea $150 million in terms of my life is is incredibly life changing
[00:11:19] $150 million when you're building vehicles not so much my ultimate hope is that Fisker is able
[00:11:28] to write the ship and they become very successful that is my hope for the company but if that doesn't
[00:11:36] happen I see two things happening I don't see them going away completely one is another company will
[00:11:42] come in and buy them right now Fisker shares about I don't know the last time I checked it was like
[00:11:48] $0.17 a share something like that so it'd be very cheap for a company like GM or Nissan or any of
[00:11:56] these other companies Honda to just come in and buy Fisker it would almost be a rounding error for them
[00:12:03] the other thing that could happen is Fisker could sell off their intellectual property
[00:12:10] and then you know they just those pieces of intellectual property either go to somebody's
[00:12:20] patent portfolio that they never use or somebody implements it and
[00:12:24] and that technology is used in some car you'll never know about it I really hope those aren't the
[00:12:29] options I do generally want Fisker to succeed in this case and I think there's enough promise
[00:12:35] in the ocean and some of the other vehicles that they announce but there's enough promise in the
[00:12:40] ocean that another automaker will see that and be like you know what I we could take this and we can
[00:12:47] make it better and it's like 98% done we can finish the other two percent but this out what do you
[00:12:54] think uh simini mel it's bodi b-o-d-i-e at nine one eight digital dot com tell me your thoughts on
[00:13:01] this okidoku yet one more story in our e-v news segment and this comes from Bruce if you remember
[00:13:08] a couple weeks ago Bruce was on the show and he talked about blended breaking in episode 466
[00:13:13] he was also in episode 283 talking about his kia nero e-v so i'll put links in the show notes if
[00:13:20] you're interested in those anyway Bruce sent this article researchers at the Oak Ridge national
[00:13:26] laboratory in Tennessee have developed some really cool electric vehicle wireless charging technology
[00:13:34] now this is not your home wireless e-v charger that a lot of companies are promising this is
[00:13:40] something that is going to be um it's gonna deliver more power than what you can do at home
[00:13:47] the team at o-r-n-l demonstrated a hundred kilowatts of wireless power transfer to a light duty passenger
[00:13:56] vehicle so this system that they have uses polyphase electro magnetic magnetic coupling coils with
[00:14:03] rotating magnetic fields if you know what that means you know if you don't you're me because I don't
[00:14:10] know what that means anyway they were able to charge a modified Hyundai Kona e-v with five inches
[00:14:17] between the polyphase electromagnetic coupling coils with rotating magnetic magnetic fields and
[00:14:24] the Hyundai Kona e-v so they just parked over this device there was about five inches between them
[00:14:31] and they were able to charge now when I started reading this article i was like oh this is great
[00:14:36] but what's the efficiency like if the efficiency has got to be terrible around 70% or something
[00:14:41] like that well that's not the case the the efficiency was right around 96% on this so pretty
[00:14:49] pretty good if you ask me again it's unlikely that they're going to use this technology
[00:14:56] for resident in the residential setting this is probably going to be used for
[00:15:01] companies or government agencies that have a whole fleet of e-v's this is very simple you just
[00:15:06] park it in the parking lot and and charge away or it's going to be used in retail spaces movie
[00:15:12] theaters restaurants that kind of thing shopping centers parking garages would be another good option
[00:15:18] so overall pretty cool technology thanks Bruce for letting us know

[00:17:58] all right that was our totally painless and quick patreon plug let's move on to our tesla news
[00:18:05] remember just a few minutes ago when we were talking about wireless charging for e-v's well
[00:18:10] we found out this week that the cybertruck has the ability to charge wirelessly wireless leaks
[00:18:16] excuse me we don't know quite what the efficiency would be for the cybertruck to charge but we do
[00:18:22] know that other companies in this space see about a 95 percent efficiency which is pretty close
[00:18:28] to what we had in the or and l the Oak Ridge story that we just talked about and tesla is working
[00:18:37] on this technology they have announced that they are working on wireless technology wireless charging
[00:18:42] technology so i would not be surprised if we don't see something in 2024 or 2025 at least an
[00:18:48] announcement probably when the the roadster comes out if i had to guess let's move on we still talking
[00:18:57] about cyber truck tesla launched a cyber truck inspired hammer it is called cyber hammer they're
[00:19:04] going to make about 800 total and it's available through the referral program i don't know how many
[00:19:10] referral points this will cost but i'm sure it's not uh i'm sure it's gonna be a lot
[00:19:16] now tesla isn't gonna release all 800 at a time because people with a ton of points will just buy
[00:19:22] them all up and sell them on e-bay so they're gonna release them in small batches so more people have
[00:19:27] an opportunity to get in there and buy it if they want one which i think is a good way to do it
[00:19:31] moving on i also think that it would just be good for tesla to limit people to one unless nobody's
[00:19:39] buying it and then they can increase that limit but that's just me moving on marques brownlee
[00:19:46] mentioned in his video when he was reviewing the cyber truck it's great video put a link in the show
[00:19:53] that there was a panel gap between his front door on the driver's side and the b pillar so when you
[00:20:01] shut the door there's a huge gap and he said it's the worst gap he's ever seen and he doesn't really
[00:20:08] pay attention to gaps well and it was really bad in the video elan got onto x and said that the
[00:20:15] issue was not a door fit issue the issue is that there's a loosens a door striker that was not
[00:20:23] tightened to the correct torque and it is it is coming loose basically so when you close the door
[00:20:31] it's hitting that loose door striker which is what holds your door shut and elan said this is
[00:20:39] a five minute fix there are only about 15 fiber cyber trucks that are affected and that should fix
[00:20:45] marques's problem and hopefully that is the case i have one more cyber truck story tesla helped a
[00:20:54] cyber truck reservation holder with stage 4 cancer get their cyber truck a little bit early now this
[00:21:00] is actually against tesla's policy not and it's not against tesla's policy on giving you know people
[00:21:07] with cancer their car early that that's not against her policy they don't give preferential
[00:21:12] treatment to people like if a celebrity ordered a cyber truck and they were one of the last people
[00:21:19] to order one they're not jumping the line just because they're celebrity that's that's what that
[00:21:24] means not not the the cancer part but this isn't the first time that tesla's done something like
[00:21:29] this i can think of one other time and i think it happened with a model three it might have been the
[00:21:34] why but i'm pretty sure it was the model three right as they're going through production hell
[00:21:40] so i'm glad that tesla broke their own rule because the owner of this truck he has received his
[00:21:46] truck he was afraid that he would never see it he was afraid that he might die well for he got
[00:21:52] the opportunity to own and drive this truck so as many things as elan does that are frustrating
[00:22:01] to me and tesla as well probably elan's be hast he there is a kindness in the man and i am happy to see
[00:22:10] that this this this happened our next story comes from a recommendation from pat so pat thank you very
[00:22:19] much for this elan confirmed on x that tesla will add support for the apple watch in future updates
[00:22:27] so x user danney underscore l a three one included elan in a post that she made where she got locked out
[00:22:37] of her car because her phone died she then went on to x and asked elan heyc would you allow the
[00:22:44] apple watcher some other smart watch to unlock and allow the vehicle to be operated from the watch
[00:22:51] instead of the phone and elan replied sure so there you go that's going to happen someday i don't
[00:22:59] know when maybe it was already in in progress or maybe elan just decided it was going to happen
[00:23:06] right then i have no idea uh let's see tesla is telling everyone that goes to their website that
[00:23:13] the model y trims will increase by a thousand dollars on april first which is the first day of q2
[00:23:20] 2024 and you know what the day before that is the last day of q1 2024 where tesla wants to sell a bunch
[00:23:27] of cars this is the weirdest incentive that tesla has offered usually it's customary to offer like
[00:23:34] free supercharger miles or you know three months of full self-driving or whatever it is you know
[00:23:41] not not hanging over this price cut or this price increase that's going to happen in
[00:23:49] this first the second quarter of 2024 uh but yeah so if you're out there and i know at least one
[00:23:56] of our listeners in northern Arizona or central Arizona is looking to get in a model y
[00:24:03] you have a few more weeks or a few more days before it goes up by a thousand dollars good luck
[00:24:09] and i'm excited to see what you think all right uh let's see there are new improvements coming
[00:24:16] to summon an auto park according to elan so people like me who just have the regular auto pilot
[00:24:22] they we don't have access to summoner auto park but here's some of the things that are kind of cool
[00:24:27] about this first of all auto park will now be known as banish so you get out of your car and you
[00:24:34] banish it to its parking spot that's kind of cool uh summon will get an update and improved accuracy
[00:24:43] and confidence when it's navigating parking lots so you can actually stand at the well theoretically
[00:24:50] you can stand at the front door of the grocery store and summon your car and it will back out of
[00:24:55] the parking spot and drive to you uh and and not hitting anybody it drives very slow and if somebody
[00:25:02] steps in front of it or even kind of in front of it it stops and as far as i can tell the feature
[00:25:08] doesn't work very good i i've had very limited experience with it however when i was driving my
[00:25:16] oldest her car she is a Tesla Model 3 with full self-driving uh i was at safeway and i went inside
[00:25:25] got my groceries came out and somebody had parked so close to her car i was driving somebody had
[00:25:33] parked so close to her car that i couldn't get in and the other person who parked that close to her
[00:25:39] car was actually a Tesla owner like there was no room whatsoever for me to slip into uh
[00:25:47] the the Model 3 and i was very upset about this because i was like this is very rude this is not
[00:25:52] a busy safe way there's lots of parking you could have parked literally anywhere if it was that tight
[00:25:58] for you i checked their side of the car and they had plenty of room to get out so so very annoying
[00:26:06] but i remembered because i had access to uh uh Sierra who's my kid i had access to her car through
[00:26:12] my phone and i i used summon and it backed out of the parking spot for me and i was able to get in
[00:26:19] and i did not have a confrontation with that uh Tesla owner so all in all a very positive experience
[00:26:26] these features should be out sometime in april 2024 but this is Elon
[00:26:32] this is Elon when it comes to uh timelines so yeah maybe
[00:26:38] uh let's see i think we uh yeah two more stories left uh the first one is
[00:26:45] pondone are you familiar with pondone? it's a hacker competition and they do all of these great
[00:26:51] things it's not hacker in the black hat sense of hacker these are white hat hackers
[00:26:57] and these hackers hack for good uh not for evil so what happens is these hackers uh are given an
[00:27:06] opportunity to hack into something it could be an apple it could be an android uh device it could be
[00:27:13] a tv it could be a camera it could be whatever in this case it was a model three
[00:27:18] the hacker team uh uh synactive so i'm saying the right synactive was able to exploit a vulnerability in
[00:27:27] Tesla's alert electronic control unit ECU and the vehicle can bus which allowed them to access
[00:27:35] Tesla's systems for accomplishing this feat the team was awarded two hundred thousand dollars
[00:27:40] in a model three again this is a good thing we want to know about these vulnerabilities before
[00:27:48] the bad guys do so uh good job synactive synactive good job folks um enjoy your 200 grand in model three
[00:28:02] uh let's see here uh uh okay so this is kind of a bit of a bummer earlier this month there was
[00:28:09] a suspected arson attack at a electrical substation near gigaburlin and the target was Tesla but
[00:28:18] it's a substation some more than Tesla is affected Tesla had to halt production in a group has
[00:28:25] claimed responsibility for the act uh in in Germany and in around gigaburlin which is around
[00:28:33] Brandonburg locals in environmental groups are very concerned because uh a lot of things that
[00:28:40] Tesla's doing one of them happens to be uh Tesla wanting to expand gigaburlin which would mean
[00:28:46] cutting down more trees and clearing more forested areas around gigaburlin which is in their view
[00:28:54] problematic so i am a hundred percent for protesting even if i don't think what your protesting
[00:29:03] makes any sense i'm a hundred percent for protest the way i am a big believer in protest
[00:29:08] it i will support you every single day of the week even if i don't agree with you because i think
[00:29:14] protesting is important you need to be able to have your voice heard arson on the other hand
[00:29:20] here's where i have a little bit of a problem not a little bit a lot uh by doing this one of the
[00:29:26] people in your group who committed the arson could have been hurt or killed which is awful i don't
[00:29:32] know what that happened anybody um somebody that works at that substation if there was if it was
[00:29:39] manned could have been hurt or killed a first responder could have been hurt or killed uh pass or buy
[00:29:46] could have been hurt or killed like there's a lot and i i'm pretty familiar with substations because
[00:29:51] of my first two we have a couple and some of these things uh there it's no joke like if some of
[00:29:57] these things were on fire our protocol is not to go in period because somebody could die
[00:30:03] these are these are not uh and i don't know the details on this particular substation
[00:30:09] but as far as our policies go these are definitely a no go until the utility company comes in
[00:30:17] and says it's safe we'll just let it burn and uh try to mitigate what what's going on outside of that
[00:30:26] substation uh property but yeah these are no joke these these are killers these are widow makers
[00:30:34] these are these are bad news when they catch on fire and so my hope is that these folks are all
[00:30:44] safe first of all and second you know um let's not do this anymore let's not let's not uh do things
[00:30:51] in protest that could get other people who are not involved in you know you who are not on your
[00:30:58] side or Tesla side killed because you want to make a statement like this is something that
[00:31:03] you can't come back from and if somebody would have died in this instance that group would have been
[00:31:10] charged with murder and that's changes your whole life no i don't know how old these people are but
[00:31:15] i don't want to see anybody going away from murder so i'm gonna leave you with a story
[00:31:21] so i was not on this call but a few years ago it's probably 10 years ago uh our units got dispatched
[00:31:29] to a fire with flames 40 feet in the air they roll out of the station they're ready to go to work
[00:31:37] it's in the middle of the daytime so flames 40 feet in the air in the middle of the daytime
[00:31:41] that people can see that's pretty significant usually you know you'll see the smoke first and
[00:31:47] they'll people passing by will catch it early this is by a very busy road 40 feet in the air
[00:31:53] that means it's working it is it is cooking it is going to town um the units rolled out of the
[00:32:02] station headed to the direction of the fire and they could see nothing multiple reports 40 feet
[00:32:08] in the air they're seeing nothing and they don't have an address for this this was just passer by
[00:32:15] passerby's who saw this happened and then you know they're in their cell phones they're somewhere
[00:32:20] else now so the units that responded it's first I think it was a first upgraded to a first alarm
[00:32:26] at the very beginning uh so there are tons of units roaming around this area looking for fire
[00:32:32] with 40 foot flames and they can't find it well I think it was the bit one of the battalion chiefs
[00:32:38] had gone behind a warehouse and they saw like char marks on the building in a shape of a v
[00:32:47] and this is how uh arson arson investigators work but there were char marks in the shape of a
[00:32:53] v the big part of the v was at the top of the building the smaller part of the v was was pointing to
[00:32:59] and this is this is arson 101 arson investigation 101 uh usually when you have a v pattern on a
[00:33:07] wall the smaller parts points to where that fire started so it's almost like an arrow
[00:33:12] so the small the arrow was pointing to the transformer for the building if you don't know what a
[00:33:17] transformer is they're usually like big green boxes or they could be like yellow boxes here in
[00:33:23] Arizona that are outside of buildings so this it has a lot of electricity in these transformers
[00:33:29] so what these uh very not so intelligent folks decided that they were going to do or maybe they
[00:33:34] just weren't thinking it through is they were gonna wrap a chain around this transformer hook
[00:33:40] it to the back of their pickup truck and drive away with this and steal all the copper
[00:33:45] and these transformers are on these big concrete pads so they wrap the chain around
[00:33:50] and they drove away while it was charged with electricity and it shot flames 40 feet in the air
[00:33:57] and scarred the outside of this building and they made it about eight inches off of the
[00:34:04] concrete pad like it moved a little bit not a lot and when they arrived and when I went back to
[00:34:12] see it a couple of days later for training what you see is the the transformer the big box is kind
[00:34:19] of misplaced on the the pad you see the the charmerks on on the building and then you see a
[00:34:25] humuncus pile of vomit that was still there a couple of days later from somebody who happened
[00:34:32] to be standing next to this thing got hit with this big event and uh instantly got sick and
[00:34:40] hopefully they didn't get hurt but this is what I'm trying to illustrate here is this is something
[00:34:46] you don't want to mess with this is this is a lot of people could have gotten hurt that day thankfully
[00:34:54] seems like nobody did uh and and that is actually a positive I'm sure they learned a lesson but
[00:35:02] when you're dealing with these substations it's what I just explained to you times a million
[00:35:08] it's it's so much more severe than just that instance so my my hope to anybody who wants to protest
[00:35:17] anything for that matter is when you do this use your voice uh don't use violence or you know
[00:35:25] things like arson or vandalism or whatever don't get yourself hurt don't get somebody else hurt
[00:35:30] don't ruin somebody's day uh because you want to prove a point that's my point i'll get off my soap
[00:35:36] box now let's talk about another area of concern uh with the gigaburlin uh site for Tesla and that
[00:35:43] is water management um andre the reg the manager of tesla's gigaburlin
[00:35:50] address some issues when it comes to water because i guess the local water association is claiming
[00:35:56] that tesla's exceeding waste water limits and it's worth pointing out that it tesla's not exceeding
[00:36:04] the industrial waste water limits they're exceeding like regular waste water like it's not
[00:36:10] from the process of building the cars that's not that waste water gets a hundred percent real
[00:36:15] psychled what tesla's exceeding is water that comes from toilet sinks i don't know if they have
[00:36:21] showers but if they have showers that kind of waste water the kind of stuff that comes you know
[00:36:26] that you you have in your home same thing so like i said right now tesla recycles 100%
[00:36:32] of its industrial waste water um they said this is kind of ironic but they did say
[00:36:39] that once they build out their next expansion they'll be able to recycle 100% of the regular
[00:36:47] wastewater in addition to the industrial waste water so we'll see how that goes but i do understand
[00:36:53] the concern of the local uh water association because if tesla's using so much of this uh of their
[00:37:02] waste water and they're going over their limits this um waste water plant can only handle so much
[00:37:09] like it's not as if they can just continue sending water in unlimited waves and the wastewater
[00:37:15] plant can handle it like there are limits and if that was to continue to happen upgrades at the
[00:37:22] plant need to happen so hopefully um that gets worked out between tesla and this water association but
[00:37:31] that's it that's our show i didn't think we were going to go 20 minutes we went 34 so i apologize
[00:37:36] for going a little bit longer i also apologize for telling a very self indulgent story
