[00:00:20] Hello everyone and welcome to Kilowatt, a podcast about electric vehicles, renewable energy, autonomous driving, and much, much more. My name is Bodie and I am your host and we have a huge show for you today, or at least I think it's huge. Six pages of notes, although I'm doing my notes a little bit different now that we have Patreon members sponsoring each news story that we talk about. So it might actually be like four pages of notes.
[00:00:48] But anyway, still pretty big show and at the very end we're going to top the show off with a highlight reel that Steve put together. He did this last year. It was genuinely one of the best parts of my year when it comes to this show in 2023 and now it is one of the best parts of the year when it comes to this show of 2024. I get a kick out of what Steve decides to include in this and based on last year I got some pretty good feedback.
[00:01:16] So let's go ahead and start with the news and then we'll get into Steve's highlight reel. First up we're going to start with the EV News and this article is brought to you by Scott R. and Gene R. And again I should say that none of these people asked me to do this. And just because they happen to be mentioned at the beginning of the article, that does not mean that they are endorsing anything that I say or anything that's in the article. I feel like that's important.
[00:01:46] I also feel like probably everybody knows this, but Scott and Gene not endorsing this article nor is anybody else endorsing anything else their name is in front of.
[00:01:56] All right. First up, EV maker Canoe furloughed dozens of employees without pay a few weeks ago, which definitely sucks and nobody wants that to happen.
[00:02:07] But now Canoe has furloughed the rest of their staff. And this furlough is going on at least until the end of the year. People are not getting paid for this time that they are off.
[00:02:18] And this is, I know that there's probably business reasons to do this at the end of the year, but when you do it around the holidays, it makes you look heartless.
[00:02:30] But Canoe definitely has reasons to do this because right now, according to TechCrunch, they only have around $700,000 in the bank.
[00:02:41] Canoe is trying to secure the necessary capital to continue operations and hopefully they do.
[00:02:46] I'd love to see Canoe succeed. Canoe succeed?
[00:02:57] Canoe also announced that they're doing a one for 20 reverse stock split, which basically means if you have 20 shares, now you have one share.
[00:03:07] And if everything goes right, that one share will be worth the equivalent of what those 20 shares were worth at that time.
[00:03:16] Canoe needs help because they're about to be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.
[00:03:22] As of today, Canoe is currently sitting at $0.08 per share for their stock price.
[00:03:28] Again, I would love to see Canoe succeed.
[00:03:32] But at this point, it's kind of, it feels like it's unlikely.
[00:03:36] You know, they might stave off going out of business for another year, but we're not really seeing a lot of movement.
[00:03:45] On the canoe front.
[00:03:46] The federal government, and here in the United States, has, like, I think the post office has made some deals with Canoe as well as NASA.
[00:03:55] But it just doesn't seem like that's enough to move the needle.
[00:04:00] Our next story is brought to you by Don M. and Christopher R.
[00:04:06] Robert Dunn runs the YouTube channel Aging Wheels.
[00:04:10] And he has a Polestar 2 and it just hit 100,000 miles.
[00:04:15] And just for a point of reference, his Polestar 2, I think, is about two and a half years old.
[00:04:20] It's a dual motor long range, 75 kilowatt hours, and 249 miles of range.
[00:04:27] So he made a video about, you know, what happens when your Polestar hits 100,000 miles.
[00:04:33] And honestly, 100,000 miles in two and a half years is pretty impressive.
[00:04:35] So I would encourage you to watch his entire video because it's about 15 minutes long.
[00:04:42] He gives a nice breakdown of how the car is held up over that time.
[00:04:46] And I'm just going to highlight one thing, and that one thing involves the battery.
[00:04:51] The Polestar has an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty on the battery.
[00:04:57] So at this point in time, he is out of warranty for the battery.
[00:05:02] Robert does a ton of car content.
[00:05:05] So, you know, not that long ago, he bought like this OBD-II diagnostics kit.
[00:05:12] And he ran a test on his vehicle about 75,000 miles.
[00:05:19] And at that point, it had like 92 or something percent of battery health.
[00:05:24] Well, at 100,000 miles, he ran the same test.
[00:05:27] And he has 88.8 percent battery health, according to the diagnostic software that he was using.
[00:05:32] Now, he does say that he doesn't know if this is 100 percent accurate or not.
[00:05:37] He says that his numbers are made up of only two data points, and they're only based on his car.
[00:05:41] He's a really funny guy.
[00:05:43] I subscribe to his channel.
[00:05:44] You should do.
[00:05:45] It was very entertaining.
[00:05:47] But that means all in all, he's lost around 20 miles of range.
[00:05:51] If he were to drive the car from 100 percent down to zero percent state of charge.
[00:05:57] So 20 miles, probably not going to be all that noticeable.
[00:06:01] So not too shabby.
[00:06:02] So I bring all this up.
[00:06:04] One, because the battery information is interesting.
[00:06:08] Again, there's nothing scientific about what he's doing.
[00:06:10] And he's very clear about that.
[00:06:13] But what I really want to highlight, and he has a way bigger channel than this podcast.
[00:06:17] But what I really want to highlight is if you're not following Robert on Aging Wheels on YouTube, you should be, because he is hilarious.
[00:06:27] Like, if you like this show, you're going to like Robert's channel.
[00:06:30] He's funny.
[00:06:31] He's informative.
[00:06:32] I'm not saying I'm funny or informative.
[00:06:34] I'm not bragging about myself here.
[00:06:35] But he is funny and informative.
[00:06:38] I was not aware of his channel before this, but once I watched the video, I was a fan.
[00:06:44] So go check out what Robert's doing at Aging Wheels.
[00:06:50] Our next story is brought to you by Joseph B. and Jerbo.
[00:06:55] A while ago, we talked about Volkswagen having to close down some factories in Germany.
[00:07:01] And this is something that has never happened in Volkswagen's 87-year-old history as a company, having to close down any factory in Germany.
[00:07:11] Now, they may have had to close down factories somewhere else, but not in Germany.
[00:07:15] That's a big deal.
[00:07:16] Well, Bloomberg is reporting that Volkswagen may not have to close any factories in Germany after all.
[00:07:22] Or I shouldn't say may not have to.
[00:07:25] They may not be closing because clearly they don't have to if they're not going to.
[00:07:30] But this is according to an anonymous source.
[00:07:33] Right now, Volkswagen is dealing with a worker strike in Germany.
[00:07:38] Around 100,000 workers walked out of nine different German factories and decided to strike.
[00:07:45] And it sounds like through the negotiations, they're at a little bit of an impasse, you know.
[00:07:53] But it sounds like Volkswagen will keep those factories that they were going to close down, there was three of them, open as a concession to the union.
[00:08:03] And in return, the union workers will forego bonus payments.
[00:08:07] So people keep their jobs.
[00:08:08] So, you know, in this case, this is why I think negotiations are important between labor and management.
[00:08:13] But this kind of relationship only works if both sides are willing to give something.
[00:08:20] If it's imbalanced, that doesn't really help anybody out.
[00:08:23] Anyway, we're going to keep an eye on this story.
[00:08:27] Right now, this is just a rumor because they had an anonymous source.
[00:08:31] So while I think there's some credibility to this story, it doesn't mean that this is what's going to happen.
[00:08:38] Even if this story is true, the terms of the deal can still change in the negotiation process.
[00:08:45] But for now, it seems like this is where we stand.
[00:08:50] Our next story is brought to you by Alki Bob and FriendlySleet66.
[00:08:56] Rivian R1S and R1T owners got a new software update recently.
[00:09:01] And they now have access to a native YouTube and SiriusXM app.
[00:09:07] And in addition to that, they can Google Cast to the Rivian's infotainment system.
[00:09:13] I don't know why I'm talking so weird.
[00:09:16] Rivian.
[00:09:17] But this is really cool.
[00:09:18] You can basically cast something from your phone.
[00:09:21] And you can even do this if you have an iPhone or an Android.
[00:09:24] You can cast something from your phone to the car.
[00:09:28] So if you want to watch Netflix or Disney Plus or Hulu or whatever, you're able to do that.
[00:09:35] In addition, you can also listen to music streaming from your phone, that kind of thing.
[00:09:40] So that's really cool.
[00:09:41] I do need to let you know, though, if you want to access the SiriusXM app,
[00:09:46] you will need to be a SiriusXM subscriber.
[00:09:49] And that does cost money.
[00:09:51] However, they're offering a free trial.
[00:09:53] So if you want to try it out, you can do that.
[00:09:56] And speaking of subscriptions, in order to take advantage of these new apps and features,
[00:10:01] you're going to need to subscribe to Connect Plus, which is a Rivian service that allows
[00:10:06] you to get internet and stuff like that to your vehicle.
[00:10:10] And that service is going to cost you around $14.99 a month or $149 a year if you want to
[00:10:15] pay for it outright.
[00:10:16] But that does get you an in-vehicle hotspot.
[00:10:20] So if you need to check your email or whatever, you can connect your laptop to that in-vehicle
[00:10:24] hotspot.
[00:10:25] You'll get satellite images for navigation, Amazon A-Lady commands, Apple Music, Audible,
[00:10:33] Spotify, Tidal, TuneIn, and you'll get Rivian's GearGuard live cam.
[00:10:38] So if you want to keep an eye on your stuff.
[00:10:42] All right.
[00:10:43] Moving on to our next story, which is brought to you by Howard Wye and Bruce C.
[00:10:49] I love the Chevy Equinox.
[00:10:51] This is a great looking car.
[00:10:52] It's got great range, cool technology.
[00:10:54] It's affordable.
[00:10:55] Is it perfect?
[00:10:56] Heck no, it's not perfect, but it's a really good car.
[00:10:59] You get an 85 kilowatt hour battery.
[00:11:02] You get with that, you get a range of 307 to 319 miles of range.
[00:11:07] And that depends on whether you have the all-wheel drive or the front-wheel drive package.
[00:11:11] But this is a really cool vehicle, right?
[00:11:14] It starts at $35,000.
[00:11:18] And I'm going to be honest with you.
[00:11:19] When Chevy initially announced that price, I did not have high hopes that one, this car
[00:11:24] was going to come out when they said it was going to come out.
[00:11:26] And two, it was not going to come out at that price.
[00:11:28] But man, they came pretty close to getting it out on time and, you know, pretty close
[00:11:34] by Elon standards.
[00:11:35] But they came pretty close to getting it out on time and they hit that price point with
[00:11:41] 319 miles of range.
[00:11:43] That's really impressive on Chevy's part.
[00:11:47] So Patrick George of Inside EVs has some tips to possibly get the Equinox EV as cheaply as
[00:11:54] possible.
[00:11:55] And for this example, we're just going to use the $35,000 version.
[00:11:59] And some of these things are conditional because you have to meet some or all of the conditions
[00:12:05] just letting you know.
[00:12:06] First up, if you own or lease a 2010 or newer non-GM vehicle, you can get $1,500 off the
[00:12:15] purchase price or lease of a new Equinox EV.
[00:12:19] If you have a Costco membership, you can get another $1,000 off that MSRP and these can be
[00:12:26] stacked.
[00:12:27] So right there, we're at $2,500 off that $35,000.
[00:12:32] So that's pretty good, right?
[00:12:35] Well, I've got even better news for you because some dealerships are selling the Chevy Equinox
[00:12:41] LT base model under $30,000.
[00:12:45] So if you're looking for one of these vehicles before the end of the year, because these
[00:12:51] dealerships are trying to clear out inventory before the new year, if you're looking for
[00:12:55] one of these vehicles, shop your local dealer's website because you might find that one dealer
[00:13:03] is selling it for $35,000 or goodness knows more than $35,000.
[00:13:08] And another one's selling it for $28,000.
[00:13:11] I saw one as low as like $24,000.
[00:13:14] So it's definitely worth checking your local dealer's website for this kind of thing.
[00:13:19] And by the way, why do car dealers' websites suck so much?
[00:13:26] It is all the frustration of going to a local news website, like your local newspaper or your
[00:13:34] local TV station, because those websites suck and there's all these takeover ads and
[00:13:39] all that stuff.
[00:13:40] It's all of that frustration with the functionality of a rock.
[00:13:45] And it's actually less functional than a rock.
[00:13:47] Like every time I have to go to a dealer website, it is a frustrating experience.
[00:13:51] Why does it have to be like that?
[00:13:53] You are not making me want to buy a car from your company.
[00:13:57] So, and they all suck.
[00:13:59] They're all terrible.
[00:14:00] They're all terrible.
[00:14:02] If you found a good website that a dealer is using, and granted, they probably all pay the
[00:14:09] same service.
[00:14:11] Let me know.
[00:14:12] It's Bodie, B-O-D-I-E at 918digital.com because I'd like to look at it.
[00:14:16] And I'm not talking about Rivian's website or I'm talking about car dealers.
[00:14:20] All right.
[00:14:21] Anyway, that's enough of that little tirade there.
[00:14:26] Anyway, not the point.
[00:14:28] The whole point is to save you money on the Chevy Equinox EV.
[00:14:31] So we've talked about the owning a non-GM vehicle, 2010 or newer.
[00:14:38] We've talked about the Costco membership.
[00:14:40] What we haven't talked about is here in the United States, if you qualify for the $7,500
[00:14:45] federal tax credit, good news, the Equinox EV does as well.
[00:14:50] So not everybody qualifies to get the $7,500 tax credit, but I feel really confident in
[00:14:57] saying that most people do.
[00:14:59] So, and, and you know what?
[00:15:00] I will, I will give some of the websites that I looked at today a little bit of love is they
[00:15:08] had the Costco membership $1,000 off and the $7,500 off on the federal tax credits listed
[00:15:14] on their website when they were going through the prices.
[00:15:17] They didn't have the 2010 or newer non-GM vehicle discount, but still, you know, at least
[00:15:24] they're listing that stuff.
[00:15:25] So that's good for consumers to know.
[00:15:29] All right, everybody, that is it for our EV news.
[00:15:33] Before we dive into the Tesla news, I just want to let you know that we have ways to support
[00:15:38] this show.
[00:15:39] If you are interested, you can go to patreon.com forward slash kilowatt or support kilowatt.com.
[00:15:45] And you can also go to the show notes and you can find, you'll find a link for Patreon,
[00:15:50] but you also find a link at the bottom for a cast plus.
[00:15:53] If you're interested in supporting the show, but you don't like Patreon, that's a way you
[00:15:56] can do that as well.
[00:15:57] All of the money goes back into the show.
[00:15:59] None of the money goes into my pocket to pay bills or anything like that.
[00:16:02] I have a job.
[00:16:03] And if you support the show at any level above a dollar, you get an ad free experience.
[00:16:08] So if you don't like the ads on this show, by all means, uh, give me a dollar a month
[00:16:13] and you will, you, they will go away.
[00:16:15] They will completely go away.
[00:16:17] Okie doke.
[00:16:18] Enough of that.
[00:16:18] Let's move on to our Tesla news.
[00:16:21] Not a lot of Tesla news here.
[00:16:22] Starting off, this story is brought to you by Chris B and Jamie H.
[00:16:29] Tesla has a plan to help alleviate some congestion at supercharger stations, or at least temporarily
[00:16:36] during the holidays.
[00:16:38] Tesla is rolling out mobile charging stations.
[00:16:41] So this is, this is kind of cool.
[00:16:43] This is a semi-trailer, like a flatbed semi-trailer with a bunch of mega packs and superchargers
[00:16:52] attached to it.
[00:16:54] Like the charging units attached to it.
[00:16:56] These mobile, uh, uh, charging units will get 150 kilowatts of charging speed.
[00:17:02] They're deployed along heavily traveled areas.
[00:17:05] And some of them are on a trailer and it looks like some of them are connected into like existing
[00:17:11] supercharger locations.
[00:17:13] So like in Bakersfield, California, it looks like it was added to an existing charger temporarily.
[00:17:20] Um, same thing in Prim Nevada.
[00:17:23] Then you have the actual mobile trailers in El Centro, California and Cambridge, Ohio.
[00:17:30] So this is pretty cool.
[00:17:31] If you see one of these, cause I know we have listeners in El Centro.
[00:17:36] Yeah.
[00:17:36] They're probably listeners in Bakersfield as well.
[00:17:38] If you see one of these, let me know.
[00:17:40] Cause this is a really cool idea.
[00:17:43] It is a Frankenstein of a setup, but it's a cool idea.
[00:17:46] I I'm sure if Tesla wants to continue this kind of, um, uh, operation, they'll come up
[00:17:54] with a more elegant solution.
[00:17:56] But for now, you know, this will work, especially for testing purposes.
[00:18:00] And I should say that Tesla has rolled out something similar during natural disasters.
[00:18:06] So maybe this is what they're doing.
[00:18:08] Maybe they're testing this for when we have hurricanes in the East coast or wildfires on
[00:18:12] the West coast and, you know, Tesla can help people get, you know, to safety sooner without
[00:18:19] having to worry about a bunch of, uh, overwhelming, overwhelmed superchargers.
[00:18:26] All right.
[00:18:27] Our next story is brought to you by Steven E and Alex F.
[00:18:33] Tesla sales are down in Europe by about 13.7% year to date.
[00:18:40] When I heard this, I was like, well, maybe the whole entire, you know, European EV market
[00:18:46] is down, but no, actually, if you remove Tesla from the equation, the European market is actually
[00:18:54] up slightly.
[00:18:55] Um, they're up by like less than 2%, but Tesla's dragging the average down because Tesla happens
[00:19:02] to be the largest EV maker.
[00:19:04] But as of November of 2024, Tesla has delivered 282,700 cars to the European market.
[00:19:14] Last year during the same time period, they actually delivered 327,600 cars.
[00:19:21] So they are currently down 13.7% year over year.
[00:19:28] Um, I don't think at this point, this is something that you should be concerned about, you know,
[00:19:34] car companies, any company is, they're going to have up years and down years.
[00:19:39] I mean, if you have too many down years in a row, then you should definitely be concerned,
[00:19:42] but you can't go up forever.
[00:19:44] Whatever you're going to have some time where you're going to have less sales than you did
[00:19:49] the year before.
[00:19:51] And I will say that, you know, Tesla's current design is getting a little long in the tooth.
[00:19:59] You know, the model three had a refresh in, in January of 2024, but the rest of Tesla's
[00:20:04] vehicles really haven't had a major refresh in a minute.
[00:20:07] Uh, obviously we talked about on the last episode, a new and updated model Y this might
[00:20:13] help, you know, sales of the model Y in Europe.
[00:20:17] I don't know, but Tesla's are starting to look a little bit dated.
[00:20:22] I mean, they still get look, they still look good.
[00:20:24] Don't get me wrong.
[00:20:25] They still look good, but we're at a point where Tesla's competitors have vehicles that
[00:20:33] are just as nice, if not nicer in the design area.
[00:20:37] Anyway, I think everybody's getting really close on the technology that they put in their
[00:20:43] vehicles.
[00:20:44] I'm including European automakers and, and startups and Chinese automakers and all of that.
[00:20:50] Um, and, and other automakers, I guess, from around the globe, you know, I think that,
[00:20:57] I think that there's more competition and because there's more competition, you're just going
[00:21:02] to see Tesla's, you know, huge pie shrinking a little bit.
[00:21:06] So we'll see where Tesla is at next year and we'll report back in.
[00:21:12] Our next story is brought to you by Bruce W and Isaiah J.
[00:21:18] And I should say, this is our final story, uh, of today's episode.
[00:21:23] So Tesla is having some issues with cell dents in some cyber, uh, truck battery packs.
[00:21:30] So in, in some way, these cells are damaged and, um, Tesla is actually shipping the trucks
[00:21:39] that are affected back to Giga Texas to have the battery packs replaced.
[00:21:44] Honestly, this is actually good news.
[00:21:47] You know, some might see this as bad news, but this is actually good news because it doesn't
[00:21:51] appear at least for right now to be affecting any customer vehicles.
[00:21:56] To this point, it looks like it was only vehicles in Tesla's inventory waiting to sell.
[00:22:03] So that, that is good news.
[00:22:05] That doesn't mean that it won't be found in customers' vehicles.
[00:22:09] Eventually, um, if that happens, I'm sure there will be a recall.
[00:22:14] There's not currently an official recall, but I'm sure if that happens and it does affect
[00:22:19] customer vehicles, we'll see an official recall for this.
[00:22:22] But good job to Tesla's team for the early recognition and taking care of the problem.
[00:22:28] Honestly, before it becomes a problem.
[00:22:31] Um, and then I'm just going to add this in here.
[00:22:34] Inside EVs and some other outlets are also reporting that cyber trucks are piling up on
[00:22:40] car dealer lots.
[00:22:41] So Kevin Roberts of CarGurus, uh, they do market intelligence says that this is a strong sign of
[00:22:51] weakening demand for the cyber truck.
[00:22:54] Cyber trucks are currently spending around 75 days on the lot, uh, for October, November,
[00:23:02] December timeframe as compared to around 27 days back in May.
[00:23:08] Now, the longer the vehicle stays on the, on the lot, obviously the lower the price gets
[00:23:13] because the dealer wants to get rid of it.
[00:23:15] And I should say the lower the negotiated price gets, because I'm sure if somebody wanted
[00:23:19] to walk into the dealer and offer full asking price, the dealer isn't going to be like,
[00:23:24] well, wait a gosh darn minute.
[00:23:27] I'm going to sit a swear word.
[00:23:28] Uh, that truck's been on the lot for 67 days.
[00:23:32] Let's go ahead and knock $10,000 off the price before you leave.
[00:23:34] And you know, they're not going to do that.
[00:23:36] So you have a little bit more negotiating power, the longer the vehicle has been on the lot,
[00:23:41] but I have a question for you before we get to our segment that Steve created.
[00:23:49] Do you think that the cyber truck is losing steam?
[00:23:53] Do you think that demand is weakening?
[00:23:57] Send me an email, Bodie, B O D I E at 9 1 8 digital.com.
[00:24:01] Because I'm truly curious.
[00:24:05] Okie doke.
[00:24:07] That is the news.
[00:24:08] We have now eaten our vegetables and let's get to dessert.
[00:24:13] As I mentioned at the start of the show, last year, Steve Sheridan, who is a patron,
[00:24:19] and quite literally, not only did he create this, um, not only did he create this cool little segment,
[00:24:25] he's also sponsoring this cool segment.
[00:24:29] Um, last year, Steve put together highlights of the show.
[00:24:33] It's very funny.
[00:24:35] And quite honestly, I am honored that he's done it again for a second year.
[00:24:40] I would love this to go all the way until I end this show or die.
[00:24:44] That would be my desire.
[00:24:46] Steve starts the, Steve starts the, uh, the, the segment with saying that this is the 49th annual
[00:24:55] kilowatt highlight, uh, show.
[00:24:58] And, uh, that's a reference to the 49th annual Thanksgiving special that we did back in, in
[00:25:06] November.
[00:25:07] So just in case you didn't, uh, hear that episode, that's, that's what the joke is referring to.
[00:25:13] So let's go ahead and listen to the 49th Avenue, Avenue, the 49th annual.
[00:25:20] You know what?
[00:25:21] I'm just going to continue messing this up.
[00:25:23] So we're just going to, let's listen to the clip.
[00:25:26] Hello, Kilowatt listeners.
[00:25:28] This is fan of the show, Steve Sheridan.
[00:25:30] It's that time of year to present the 49th annual Kilowatt Highlight Reel for your listening
[00:25:36] pleasure.
[00:25:37] This is where I assemble a collection of audio snippets from selected Kilowatt episodes
[00:25:42] throughout the year.
[00:25:44] Since you're a Kilowatt listener, you've probably come to know and love how Bodhi delivers his
[00:25:49] podcast with, uh, what should we call them?
[00:25:52] Bodhi-isms.
[00:25:53] These are the moments where Bodhi gives us a peek into how he thinks, and it's part of
[00:25:58] his charm.
[00:25:59] To be clear, these are comments he's left in the show after editing.
[00:26:03] So what follows is a collection of Kilowatt audio clips from Bodhi over the past year
[00:26:09] that I found quite amusing.
[00:26:11] Hello and welcome to the podcast.
[00:26:25] That's my stupid fault.
[00:26:27] I forgot which podcast I was doing.
[00:26:29] I didn't stick the nail.
[00:26:31] I didn't, I didn't nail the landing.
[00:26:33] I didn't stick the nail.
[00:26:34] I didn't stick the landing.
[00:26:35] I didn't stick the landing on that one.
[00:26:38] So without further ado, what's let, is it a do?
[00:26:42] Yeah.
[00:26:44] Elon, take it over.
[00:26:45] Thank you.
[00:26:46] You are very welcome.
[00:26:48] Tesla was actually working with Uber on where the superchargers should be located.
[00:26:54] I don't know why I said that so weird.
[00:26:57] All of these folks that talk to inside EVs talk to them on the condition of anonymity,
[00:27:04] anonymity, anonymity, anonymity, anonymity.
[00:27:06] They wanted to be anonymous.
[00:27:09] Now let's move away from a time when I was young, hopeful, had a full head of hair, wasn't
[00:27:15] overweight.
[00:27:15] The world was my oyster at that time.
[00:27:18] Now the world is my Werther's original.
[00:27:22] I'm to that point in my life.
[00:27:32] All right, here we go.
[00:27:34] Hold on just a second.
[00:27:37] I got it.
[00:27:38] Nailed it.
[00:27:40] Some guy was like, hey, you suck and you stutter.
[00:27:43] And I was like, I know.
[00:27:45] Let's move on to something more positive.
[00:27:48] Let's talk about dead puppies.
[00:27:49] No, I'm just kidding.
[00:27:51] This is coming from somebody who thinks almost everything that I do is pretty much crap.
[00:27:55] So I'm really proud of it.
[00:27:58] Just read into that projectile vomiting and using the carpet cleaner until three o'clock
[00:28:03] in the morning.
[00:28:04] My goal is to make your family events uncomfortable and more contentious.
[00:28:11] And I want to thank everybody for sticking around to this train wreck of a show.
[00:28:17] A mediocre thank you to everybody else.
[00:28:20] I'm just kidding.
[00:28:21] Huge thank you to everybody else.
[00:28:24] I've received so much positivity and encouragement from this community.
[00:28:31] And I really just want to say thank you.
[00:28:35] I hope you enjoyed this podcast.
[00:28:38] Please don't unsubscribe.
[00:28:39] We're going to thank you.
[00:29:21] We can all agree.
[00:29:22] Steve knocked it out of the park this year.
[00:29:24] Thank you very much, Steve.
[00:29:25] I really appreciate you.
[00:29:27] Now, Steve did not ask me to do this, but I think everybody should go and subscribe to
[00:29:31] Steve's YouTube channel, which is youtube.com forward slash at symbol S P Sheridan.
[00:29:39] I'll put a link in the show notes, but please go and subscribe.
[00:29:42] He's got a nice mix of drones, space, and a bunch of nature footage from his and Allison's
[00:29:50] trip to Africa.
[00:29:54] And it's real life stuff.
[00:29:56] We need David Attenborough maybe to narrate it a little bit.
[00:29:59] But, and I just checked, David's 98 years old.
[00:30:02] So Steve, you need to get on that.
[00:30:05] All right, everybody.
[00:30:06] That is it for me this episode.
[00:30:08] I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and I will talk to you on Friday.
